Students who are permanent residents of HI, their total Kaho’iwai tuition Fee is comparatively less than the fee for Out of HI State. This is beacuse the institute in HI charges less tuition fee for residents. However other charges (college course fee, dining dollar account, meal, residency, parking and books ) by Kaho’iwai are same.

Institute is in member of Collegiate athletic association I, Kaho’iwai main sports are Football, Soccer, Basket Ball, gymnastic and  Swimming. Football makes the city Kamuela place of attraction in the days of sports. Gymnastic is another popular game for women in the institute.
